Welcome to the official website of the Office of the Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda.
With the attainment of Political Independence in 1981, the office of the Governor transitioned to the Office of the Governor-General. I am pleased to serve as the 4th Governor- General.
I join my wife Lady Williams in inviting you to this website which provides information about the Governor-General’s constitutional, ceremonial and community responsibilities, and my role as Commander-in-Chief of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force. You will also find information about the National Honours System and details of the Governor-General’s programme, protocols, photographs, speeches and media releases.

Lady Sandra Williams was born in St. John’s, Antigua in July, 1963. She attended primary school in Antigua,
Canada and Guyana — and secondary school both in Guyana and in North Wales, United Kingdom.
